Pillow Queens to open for Franz Ferdinand at Collins Barracks
Franz Ferdinand are the latest band to be added to Singular Artists' Wider Than Pictures series, which will take place at the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks in August.
The sixth headline gig to be announced for 2023 is slated for Sunday, 27th August 2023 with very special guests Pillow Queens.
The quartet made waves with the release of their debut album In Waiting in 2020, which was Choice Music Prize nominated. The project was followed after the pandemic by Leave The Light On in 2022, shared via Royal Mountain Records and also Choice Music Prize nominated.
They toured all over the world in 2022, appearing on James Corden's Late Late Show in the US and selling out two shows in Vicar Street in October of that year. Just last weekend, the indie four-piece performed at St. Patrick's Day festival on Saturday at Collins' Barracks.

Leave the Light On, the sophomore record from queer rock group Pillow Queens, has been nominated for Irish Album of the Year at the prestigious Choice Music Prize 2022 awards. RTÉ revealed the full shortlist on 2FM’s Tracy Clifford Show on Monday, January 9, consisting of ten potential winners.
